Michael Paris interview by Virginia Webb TechEdge Radio 19 March 1999 http://techedgeradio.com/broadcasts/techedge031699.ram Subject: Lockdown2000 Virginia Webb: "How does a firewall affect that, does it keep out these programs?" Michael Paris: "Well, the firewall is only as good as the person who configures it or puts it together. If they're blocking every single port, which isn't feasible, then of course these trojans can [sic] slip through. If the person that configures it is well aware of the problem and what ports these trojans are using, then a firewall could be effective but by default configuration, no it's not."
